 Dr. Barbara Kirch
Dr. Kirch is the Hospital Director of The Cat Hospital of Durham and Chapel Hill. A Chicago native, Dr. Kirch attended the University of Illinois for her undergraduate work, and North Carolina State University for her veterinary training. After working in small animal general practice in Durham, NC and Alexandria, VA, Dr. Kirch joined The Cat Hospital part-time in January 2004 and then full-time in June 2004. Dr. Kirch's professional interests include feline dentistry and the special needs of older cats.
Dr. Kirch and her husband, a professor at Duke University, live in Durham and share their home with their son, their orange cat Woody, and a black labrador retriever named Jasmine. In her leisure time, Dr. Kirch enjoys cooking, running, and travelling.
